Wednesday May 8, 2pm-5:00pm Interactive Workshop on Scientific writing - Miranda, a former Nature editor, will share her insights on science writing for the public versus manuscript writing for the scientific community. The workshop will break down the parts of a manuscript and how to craft them for the intended audiences. As part of the workshop, there will be an interactive session where Miranda will provide feedback on your scientific abstracts. Friday May 10, 10:00am-12:00pm Seminar on Researcher Discoverability – This is an interactive talk on strategies for connecting your online identity to your expertise, and its impact on your career. It will go over the tools editors, conference organizers, and more use to find and select invited speakers and specifically what information they need to find. This talk is tailored for audiences pursuing or recently began a career in academia. It is recommended to bring an internet-enabled device. IEEE LONG ISLAND SECTION, and IEEE REGION 1 present the Long Island Systems, Applications, and Technology Conference (LISAT), to be held at Zebra Technologies, Holtsville NY on Friday May 10h, 2024. Exhibitors: Each table registered includes one staff member - please enter their information so we can have a badge ready on event day. For additional tables, click on 'Add Another Guest', select 'Exhibitor Table' again, and enter the information of the person on that table. For additional Exhibitor Team staff, click on 'Add Another Guest', and select 'Additional Exhibitor Team member' as the Registration Fee. Again, enter the staff members Name on the registratoin form so we can have a badge ready on Event Day. Exhibitor costs: Category Registration Fee Each Table (includes 1 Exhibitor Team member per table) $300 Each additional Exhibitor Team member $50 The normal Exhibit Fee is $300.00 per table (received by May 1st, 2024). The registration for one exhibitor is included in the Exhibit Table fee. Exhibitors may request registration of additional team members for a fee of $50 each. Note that exhibitors should remain at the Exhibitor’s Exhibit Area. The enrollment of more than one supplemental exhibitor must be pre-approved to prevent unanticipated crowding of the Exhibitors area. Exhibitor Guests: Exhibitors may invite guests to the conference. All invited guests MUST register with the conference by May 1, 2024. Exhibitor Guests ( full day or afternoon) may ONLY attend the Exhibits and the vendor Product Application lectures.
