2024 UAV/UAS STRATUS Conference

Bldg: Gateway Center, Syracuse University, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, New York, United States, 13210

The STRATUS 2024 conference brings together academics, industry representatives, and domain specialists to share perspectives on this rapidly evolving field of a wide range of topics. Since its inception in 2016, STRATUS went from a one-day to a two-day and then to a three-day annual workshop and is now a three-day conference. Based on the received request from attendees, we have expanded the conference to reach entities beyond the original scope of a Western New York audience. This conference is in-person attendance. What sets the non-profit STRATUS 2024 Conference apart from other specialized or larger UAS meetings are the important interdisciplinary topics ranging from the latest challenges in UAV platform design and technology to sensor design, information gathering and processing, and modeling to produce data that support decision-making. - Environmental Mapping, Monitoring and Modelling - Remote Sensing - 3D and Multi-view Imaging - Platforms, Calibration, Sensor, and Imaging Systems - Multi-sensor Data Fusion - Technologies and Applications - Algorithm and Image Processing - Photogrammetry - Policy, Public Perception and Privacy Issues - K-12 Education - Applications focused on Upstate NY, Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario Regions Co-sponsored by: GRSS Agenda: - 3 days - UAV/UAS, Applications, Algorithms, Remote Sensing, etc. - Best talk awards, best poster awards - Trivia and 6 drone prizes - K-12 education - Keynotes, workshops, tutorials, UAV demos Bldg: Gateway Center, Syracuse University, 1 Forestry Drive, Syracuse, New York, United States, 13210

Phased Array System Modeling with MATLAB for SONAR Applications

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/420033

[] Learn how to model phased array systems with Phased Array Systems Toolbox for RF radar and sonar applications. We will show antenna array modeling, mutual coupling, array calibration, beam pattern synthesis, conventional and adaptive beamforming techniques, and space time adaptive processing. At the end, we will demonstrate the modeling Sonar Phased arrays for target detection and direction of arrival estimation. In this presentation, we will show these capabilities in MATLAB: - Phased array design and analysis - Modeling sub arrays with Sensor Array Analyzer App - Modeling array calibration - Beamforming and array signal processing - Beamforming using conventional techniques - Pattern Synthesis with Minimum Variance Optimization - Direction of arrival calculation - Modeling Sonar Phased array applications Speaker(s): Darius Subacius, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/420033

RF radiated emissions from Electric Vehicles – Regulatory challenges

Bldg: Technology and Innovation Center, 400 Beaver Brook Road, Boxborough, Massachusetts, United States, 01719

Abstract: Unlike internal combustion engines, electric powertrain in automotive applications pose much greater challenges in meeting regulatory requirements with respect to far field radiated RF emissions. This talk will review the basic physical mechanisms of the EV powertrain that contribute toward RF emissions from the vehicle. Various mitigation techniques are summarized along with the engineering tradeoffs they create. Current and future regulatory requirements are also reviewed. Co-sponsored by: TÜV Rheinland North America, Technology and Innovation Center Agenda: Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2024 []Time: 6:00 pm Registration/check-in, complimentary food and refreshments 6:50 pm Welcome from TÜV Rheinland North America and IEEE EMC Boston Chapter 7:00 pm Presentation by Keith Frazier, Ford Motor Company (abstract and bio below) 7:45 pm Q&A 8:00 pm Optional tour of the new (almost finished) TUV facility Bldg: Technology and Innovation Center, 400 Beaver Brook Road, Boxborough, Massachusetts, United States, 01719
