IEEE Awards – deadline: 15 June 2023

IEEE Awards recognizes leaders and visionaries who have paved the road of discovery.  They are approved by the IEEE Awards Board, and subsequently by the IEEE Board of Directors.  There are three levels of Awards:  IEEE Medals, IEEE Technical Field Awards, and IEEE Recognitions.  The IEEE Medal of Honor is the highest-level award in the portfolio.

MGA Individual Awards – deadline: 15 October 2023

The awards and recognition program of the MGA Board is designed to promote, recognize, and reward excellence in promoting the interests of IEEE as reflected in the operations of MGA and IEEE geographic unit activities (Regions, Councils, Areas, Sections, Chapters, Affinity Groups, Student Branches, and Student Branch Chapters).

IEEE-HKN Awards – deadlines vary

An honor society, IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu has several award and recognition programs designed to promote and encourage educational and professional excellence in electrical and computer engineering. computer science, and the IEEE fields of interest. These awards recognize outstanding accomplishments by students, professors, and industry professionals who make significant contributions to society, and who exemplify a balance of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. IEEE-HKN encourages Chapters and individuals to nominate all eligible candidates.

MGA Outstanding Large, Medium, and Small Section Awards – deadline: 15 May 2023

The purpose of the Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Outstanding Section Awards is to recognize one large, medium, and small Section across all Regions for their excellent work and successful efforts in fulfilling the educational and scientific goals of IEEE for the benefit of the public.

Friend of IEEE MGA Awards – no deadline

These awards are to specifically recognize support provided to IEEE and its members, in support of its goals, by firms, divisions of firms, or individuals. Nominators can submit individuals or organizations for a Friend Award at the supporting or sustaining level.
